Happened to me twice, but both times were resolved when I completed their verifications. I would not rate their support very well, but anyway - everything got resolved.

I have heard of cases whereby they froze people’s account for almost 1/2 a year.

Not too sure how everything got resolved too or was it resolve at all, but what grounds did they use for freezing your account then mbongwe?

They said they needed address verification. The stupid thing is I had moved to another address and forgotten to update the paypal account. So when the account got limited status I edited my profile and explained them I have moved to another address. Their stupid support however kept insisting on utility bill from the first address. Fortunately I found an old scan of one, otherwise I guess I was lost.
So people when you move make sure you update your address in paypal before those people decide to limit your account and ask for address verification.

I had problems with paypal but only 1 time and all was solved. A good friend of mone had more problems and she spent some months to fix it because she opened another paypal account with the same name…

Interesting to see these comments!
Paypal just restricted my account for the 1rst time. I was trying to make a payment and that is when I noticed nothing was working. I contacted Support and they explained to me that I had a website that was against their policy..I did not know what they were talking about as to my knowlege I did not have a site nor was selling anything. They sent me the link 2 days ago of a program I joined on a whim by a friend about 6 months ago and like usual…forgot about! The program had duplicated a website and had paypal (my address) as payment.
In order for me to get rid of the url, I have to get into my paypal account and send the program manager a copy of my payment! Catch 22! I cannot get into my paypal account for those details..so I wrote to Paypal and I am awaiting an answer..
Guys, beware of these silly programs on the net that have paypal as processor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tina, this doesn’t sound normal. Do you still remember the link of the website you’re talking about?

Share with us and lets see what can we deduce from the site.
